We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our successful Learning Support Department to support the delivery of learning and work programmes in the classroom from September 2022. The postholder will support and encourage SEND students to develop their skills and knowledge, giving guidance within and outside of the classroom. You will assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources for lessons and displays around the school.

The role includes being responsible for agreed learning activities under the supervision and guidance of the SENCO and teaching staff, in accordance with school policies and guidance. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/ groups and monitoring students. You will assess, record and report on the students’ achievement, progress and development.

The role also involves supervising students at lunchtime on a rota basis.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, relate well to children and possess Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent).

Salary:            Scale 3 (point 5 to 6) £23,838 - £24,270 pro-rata
