Prendergast Primary School

We wish to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic person to join our school from September 2022 to the post of Family Liaison Officer. The successful candidate will provide a complementary service to the present school staff with a specific remit to liaise directly with families and individual children who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning, addressing poor attendance and in supporting those who are experiencing multiple disadvantages.

You will need to have had recent experience of working with young people or families, have a calm persona, be an excellent communicator, have the ability to analyse information, develop strategies and have the ability to follow tasks through to conclusion. Good IT skills are essential.

Prendergast Primary School is part of Prendergast Ladywell School, an all-through school from EYFS to Year 11. The primary phase benefits from a purpose built primary building, as well as a stunning outdoor space which includes specifically designed play areas for Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, as well as the school's own Nature Reserve. The school is fortunate to be one of the only primary schools in Lewisham to have its own Teaching Kitchen classroom.
